Artwork ~ Day 10

This is bath time in our house. So much for getting clean, right? Today she discovered that not only can you write on the tub, but she could write on herself! So much more fun!!

Easter Dress ~ Day 9

This is the dress I bought today for Kensi to wear for Easter Sunday. I just love it and the orange looks amazing on her. This picture doesn't do it justice, but hopefully you get a pretty good idea of how precious it is.
The little princess is sick today. From both the front and the back, if you catch my drift. Poor thing. She vomited and didn't know what hit her. Broke mommy's heart! After about 1/2 an hour of rocking her, she finally is sleeping. Of course, now that I wrote that she will probably wake up. Lord, I hope not. She needs her rest!

Huh? ~ Day 6

Today we went to Chuck E. Cheese's with my friend Sandhya and her daughter Neela. (As a side note, they have GREAT pizza!) Sandhya and I met last January on a "blind play date", as I like to call it. We have been getting together with the girls ever since. Usually now we see each other @ least once a week. Sometimes twice. My hope is that we will remain friends for a very long time and that Kensi and Neela do the same. It is funny because whenever we go out the girls are the opposite of each other. If one is cranky, the other is sweet. If one is shy, the other is outgoing. Then as soon as the one switches the other follows suit. It is the funniest thing. Having them both in a wonderful mood is a very rare blessing. The picture below was taken in a booth @ Chuck E. Cheese today. As expected my daughter sat and waited for the camera, almost patiently. Until the very last second that is. Evidence below. Did I mention how good that pizza was? What is it with this age and the "huh?" look? I swear every picture I take my daughter repeatedly looks confused! I miss the sweet smiles and giggles. Now mommy pulling out the camera = confusion. Either that or the "you caught me doing something I wasn't supposed to" look. I am not sure which one I love the most! lol!

Our Quarterly Grocery Shopping ~ Day 5

Yes. You did read that correctly. I said
"quarterly". We did it again. We always say we are gonna keep up with the groceries. As usual we didn't. In my defense though, I was sick for a week. I was sick and it kicked my butt! That doesn't usually happen to me. And then Kensi was sick too. But if I am gonna be honest.... I probably still would've slacked anyhow! I despise grocery shopping. The very reason I despise it is because I don't keep up with it and so when we go we end up leaving with 2 shopping carts full! No joke!
This unfortunately is not the best picture because I forgot to bring my camera. This was taken on Chad's iphone. Here is KK being a good girl. We brought an apple for her as a "treat". Apple is her new favorite thing and our new favorite word that she says. It is so cute! If you look closely you can see in the middle of her forehead, towards the top, where she banged her head on the table while we were out to eat. She was squirming in the highchair, so we put her by daddy in the booth. Mistake! She wiped out and ended up under the table on the floor! As we left the restaurant they were kind enough to give us the "Parent's Of The Year" award! Wasn't that sweet?

Three Minutes Of Heaven ~ Day 4

So I woke this morning to what you see here below. My father, Kensi's Papa, was apparently having a blast playing "dress up" @ my daughter's expense.
Poor child was non the wiser!
Then we had some quality snuggle time with mommy. Gotta love that! Anyone with a toddler knows these moments are few and far between. Mine lasted a whole 3 minutes. Maybe. But it was 3 minutes of heaven!

A Visit With Great Papa ~ Day 3

Today we were went back home to visit my parents. While we were there we went to visit Kensi's great grandfather who is in the hospital. She was so cute and very "into" her great papa. She kept sneaking around the corner of the bed and peeking @ him. Here she is giving him a kiss and holding his hand. I know it just made his day.

A Good Steal ~ Day 2

Today was a fun day after a few weeks home bound with everyone being sick. Kensi and I went to the mall to meet with my friend Sandhya and her daughter Neela. The girls got to play a little and then we did lunch. The best part of the day? The $60 dress I got @ Macy's for $7.50!! It is a size 24 months, but I am planning on her being able to wear it for this coming Christmas or next Easter. Isn't it precious?

The Lady of the Hour, or ehem...Blog ~ Day 1

So this is my dear little one you will be hearing about! Isn't she sweet? I'm not biased or anything. This is what a typical morning looks like for me. I get my Kensi out of her crib (yes she is still in a crib! She is none the wiser, so don't enlighten her, OK?!) and bring her downstairs to the living room. She recently has started to refuse to leave her Binky or her lovey behind in her crib, so they tag along too. I pull her on to my lap and turn the TV on Noggin' so she can wake up a bit. Heaven forbid I would try to change her diaper right away! A tantrum would ensue. So I hold her on my lap and breathe her in. She always smells so sweet to me, like maple syrup. I'd have to say that is quite a step up from the baby spit up of the past, thank you God!! I could sit there and snuggle with her all day like that. Heck, I could even go back to sleep. It doesn't take long though for her to start wiggling around and then the challenge is on to convince her that she should get a clean diaper on before eating breakfast....and so the day begins.
