Whoa! ~ Day 255

******So, I really haven't meant to get as far behind on this blog as I have been lately. Chad recently updated the computer and it changed some of the software I was used to using to quickly and easily edit red eye. It took us a while to figure a way around it, but it still isn't as easy as it used to be! I thought update equaled better?******
Today we finally got the paint we wanted to paint baby brother's nursery. We mentioned to Kensi that we would be painting later. What stuck in her head from that was that she wanted to paint herself. So, I set her all up in the kitchen and then sat on the couch to eat some dinner and watch from afar. Now, recently she has been painting her arms more than the paper. Today she discovered a different body surface to paint! What follows literally took all of 5 minutes! Immediately following this she was "hungry mommy! I'm hungry!!!" Trying to get all the paint off of her in a hurry while she was "yelling" @ me was definitely a test of my patience! She really knows what she wants and when she wants it....NOW!! Kinda like me when I get hit by the hungry monster ;)

My lil' stinker!

Regular Day ~ Day 254

Pretty sure we didn't make it out of our PJ's all day today!

She is definitely loving wooden puzzles right now. At story time there is a section behind where they hold the actual story time where they have a puzzle table. It is still within listening and partial viewing of story time, but set back behind the seats. Kensi wants to spend all of story time @ the puzzle table. This drives me nuts! This last week I was able, with some resistance of course, to keep her with the story time group and save the puzzles for later. I'm hoping if I continue to stress the puzzles are for after story time, she will "get" it and stay with the group more willingly. That's the plan anyhow!

Trick Or Treat ~ Day 253

Trick or Treat night was on a Thursday this year since Halloween falls on a Saturday. Lame, I think, but the kids still had fun. Here's my little witch with her brother. It was hard to get a posed picture of any kind with her. It didn't help either that my camera was on the wrong setting and most of the pictures where blurry. I was not a happy mommy!

Checking out Brenden.

There she cracks a grin!
Trying for a group shot, Gigi, Kensi, Papa and Brenden.
LOL! Action shot!
I just love the face she is making. Beside her is Neela as Wonder Woman.
Kensi and Drew the monkey! We get a picture of them together every year. This years photo was on the move.
At the Indian Mound across from our house they had a little blow up house, some decorations and costume judging. The girls loved the house.
Admiring the spider web.
Checking out (and running away from!) the skeleton!

Boo! ~ Day 252

Out the door to story time, wearing a Halloween outfit from Papa & Gigi.
Watching as Brenden carved our pumpkin.
The final result!

I just love how this year she is starting to understand the holidays more and more. She is learning about pumpkins, ghosts and witches. She says "Boo!" to scare you. She was a little less enthused this year to touch the "guts" of the pumpkin. Last year she wore some on her head! Here are some pics to reminisce. Look how she has grown!

Spa Time With Mommy ~ Day 250

Kensi and I decided it was time for some much needed "Girl" time. So we filled the big tub with bubbles and settled in for some relaxing fun.
Daddy was on hand to take some photos. Lucky for mommy, huh? Anything for fun and a laugh.

Speaking of laugh. Right after this little adventure... Well I got out of the tub and got dried and dressed. Then proceeded to do the same for Kensington. I pulled the drain on the tub and never looked back. Much to my surprise the next morning, there was a nice sized "log" in my tub and lots of "bark" all over the place! YUCK! Funny because during the bath I thought I smelled something and pushed the bubbles aside to search. I never found anything and chalked it up to Kensi having gas. Boy was I wrong! Those are the chances you take I guess. Thank goodness we didn't have the jets on it the tub. Now that would've been something!!

Pumpkin Patch ~ Day 249

Today ended up being a beautiful day for the Pumpkin Patch and Kensi's first hayride. In the patch before she got started picking some pumpkins.
Neela and Sandhya were with us
The girls posing with their pumpkins! Kensington was so serious!
Not cracking a smile....
Maybe a little one...
Helping daddy push the pumpkins!
As soon as we entered the play area she went straight for the hay maze and found the slides inside. Here she had some quality daddy time.
Both girls a little worn out after playing with Chad.

This was an absolute blast and I can't wait until next year to do it all over again. So much beautiful scenery. My only regret is we didn't take advantage of it and get a nice family picture. Definitely will remember that next year!

Home Depot Again ~ Day 248

The morning started off just Kensington and I while Daddy slept in. I got a little inspired and made Kensi some Halloween shaped pancakes! She loved them so much she didn't want me to cut them up for her to eat. Eventually her tummy made her cave though. Then it was off to the Home Depot for more paint shopping for baby brother's room. I don't think I even wanna see another shade a blue again. Kensi, however loved playing with all the paint sample chips. I didn't enjoy putting them all away though!

Blushing Bride ~ Day 247

Today Kensington got into one of my clothes drawers and found one of my nightgowns from our Honeymoon. She wanted to put it on so I tied it up so it fit. Then I went upstairs and found a "play" veil my mom had bought her. These pictures were the result! She loved having the veil over her face.

Once I figured out what she wanted, it made her very happy!

Looks like she is praying

Runaway bride!!
Some live action for you:
