Mall Playdate ~ Day 345

We took a trip to the mall today with some friends.  One of Kensi's favorite stores there has a ton of toys for the kids to play with while you shop.  Here Kensi is @ their art table.  She loved these crayons that you put directly on your fingers to color with.

Inside Fun ~ Day 342

We are getting cabin fever over here. I am trying my best to make the most of it because, let's face it, a 2 year old and boredom are not a good mix!This little activity didn't take up nearly enough time.
She had fun though and it brought with it some smiles and giggles for both mommy and Kensi.

We visited my parents house this weekend, Kensi's Papa and Gigi. This morning while I was searching through our suitcase I overheard this "conversation".

Kesington, while looking under Papa and Gigi's bed "Hi Kitty!"

The cat, Penelope, replies with a "hiss".

Kensi "What's wrong Kitty? You don't like me?"

(Mommy's heart breaking right about now)

Penelope "hissssssss"

Kensi, "Try it! You'll like it!"

You gotta love the lessons of Yo Gabba Gabba! I'm not exactly sure HER interpretation of the phrase is what they meant, but it was ingenious in my mind!

Out to dinner with Papa and Gigi. My mom, Gigi, has always preferred to wear a beret when she wears a hat. Kensington really took a liking to the purple one she was wearing tonight.
After taking this photo, I see why! I may have to find one for her in her size!

"Cheese" ~ Day 337

In order to get a picture of Kensington most days I have to first let her take a picture of me! "Cheese". Then, if I am lucky, I will get a nice big "cheese" from her too!

Playing Doctor ~ Day 332

Tonight I got to go out with a friend to celebrate my birthday. Chad was kind enough (read brave!) to watch both the girls plus Dell. While we were out he sent me these photos to let me know what the girls were up to. Here is Kensi listening to Neela's bowel sounds.

I Wanna Fall ~ Day 331

So now that Kensington has a baby brother that takes up a lot of my time...well, let's just say she has gotten creative @ getting my attention. Of course she pull the worst antics when I am nursing her brother because she knows I can't get up. Well, I CAN get up but it tends to be a pain. In this particular instance I was warning her to be careful because she might fall. Her reply?

"I wanna fall mommy!" with that cute little smile.



(And yes, we do wear clothing in this house. I think she must have gotten something on her shirt and we took it off. This was just before nap time.)

Little Diva ~ Day 330

Today I had two appointments to go to. With Kensington being couped up in the house, I decided to take her with me. She is always asking to go "bye bye". She wanted to wear her dress up coat. When we walked into the doctors office with this coat on, her pink sparkly sunglasses and her bunny book bag everyone smiled. She did look like quite the diva!

She was so excited to finally get to go out and play in the snow tonight. She's been watching from the window for the last few days begging to go "bye bye" or to go outside. So when we finally got the snow this evening that they have been calling for all week, we bundled her and her big brother up and out they went! After about an hour she came to the door knocking telling me she wanted in. She left Brenden and Daddy outside wondering where she was. My little girl has a mind of her own and is so grown up!

She is never far from her brother these days. In fact, she fell off the sofa and hit her head the other day. The first thing she said after the falling was "Where is Dell?" She knew I had been holding him on the couch and she had been sitting next to us. I guess she couldn't figure out where I put him when I went to help her up. She was very concerned with his whereabouts! Too sweet.
