Mommy's Favorites ~ Day 40

Just a few random favorites from her first 6 months. Starts around 6 months old and goes to just a day old.

This is Kensi and Brenden during one of our big snows last February.

This is her first bit of baby rice! It also was Valentine's Day 2008.

Hangin' On The Counter ~ Day 39

Some days you just run out of things to do. So the best cure for that is a change in scenery. Up to the counter top we go! LOL! Other options are Brenden's bedroom, Mommy's bedroom, the basement to see the kitty cat. Sorry this isn't the most exciting post. But I just love her piggy tails and how enthralled she is with the simplest new objects.

Impromptu Photo Session ~ Day 38

We went to my husband's favorite restaurant tonight and the wait was 45 minutes to an hour. Anyone who has a toddler knows

how horrible that wait may be. Yikes! To our great luck they had a wonderful little area out front that Kensi enjoyed playing in and

as luck would have it, that took up most of our wait. When you walk into the restaurant they have glass on the floor and a pond of gold fish

underneath. The huge kind. The walkway is made like a bridge and on either side of the bridge is a rock wall with running water. Kensi was

fascinated by this and kept saying "Hi fish" and waving. She was literally sitting on the floor in the middle of the entrance waving to the fish! One of the employees there was nice enough to give us some food to feed the fish. I was a little skeptical that Kensi would get that she was supposed to throw the food over the side of the bridge for the fish and

not eat it herself. Now that would've been a tantrum trying to get her to stop eating the fish food! Thankfully so got it and enjoyed feeding the fish. It is amazing me how fast she is growing and how much she is learning everyday. I am so proud of her and every little thing she does!

A Few Of My Favorite Things ~ Day 37

So I was just goofing with the camera today, chasing Kensi around the house. It is so hard to get a picture nowadays! No kidding. Here is a picture of her precious little hand I love so much. I love to hold hand. I love it when she wraps her hand around my index finger to walk beside me.

Here she is staring out the front door. This girl loves to be outside I tell you. Doesn't matter if it is freezing. Doesn't matter how long she has been out there. It seems to be her favorite place in the world right now. It almost

makes me feel guilty to see her gazing so longingly outside!

This is the window to her soul. She has beautiful eyes, if I do say so myself. And long full lashes that curl up just right. I hope she keeps those lashes. Many women would kill for them!

More Park Pictures ~ Day 33

Here are some more pictures from the park the other day. Mommy was lazy today and didn't take any new pictures. We did however go for a very interesting walk down the block. Let's just say pulling a wagon with a squirmy toddler in it and walking a dog @ the same time don't go too well together! Who would've guessed? I'm not sure what got into me!Little girl, big world...
Favorite thing to do @ the park? Play with the mulch! DUH! Apparently you don't outgrow it either because that was what her big brother was doing too. I don't get it, but if it keeps her happy, I'll take it!

The difference a year can make ~ Day 32

Here's my dear heart after bath time about a year ago. After bath we would lay on a blanket by the fire and rub lotion on her. We still do the lotion, however now I am mostly chasing her to get it on!

Crayons Are For Coloring ~ Day 31

Me: "Kensi?"

Kensi: "Yes Mommy?"

Me: "What do you have in your hand?"

Kensi: "Um. A crayon."

Me: "And why is that crayon all over your mouth?"

Kensi: Silence

Me: "Crayons are for coloring. NOT EATING."

The books say I just keep doing this and redirecting her and one day she will get it. However, I am not holding my breath.

And the cutest little butt in the world! How can you stay mad @ that!?

Fun With Friends ~ Day 30

She Loves The Outdoors ~ Day 28

Here's my lady in pink! I love this shirt and am just tickled...well pink....that she was able to wear it again. We got it last fall and she didn't have many opportunities to wear it. So needless to say I was very happy to see it still fit!

Here she is after the park today. She road in the wagon there but wanted to walk all the way home. And by golly she did!! Mommy was quite impressed with her! It has been really hard recently though because she loves to be outside and when ever it is time to go in she throws a righteous tantrum! I feel horrible. I can't stay outside all day though. Try explaining that to an eighteen month old!

A Busy Day ~ Day 27

We had a busy Tuesday! First we went to Story Time @ the library. Kensington cracks me up there because she kind of wanders around up front the whole time, pulling books off of the shelf. All the other kids sit in their mommy's laps and listen and laugh as we sing the songs and do the motions. Not my kid though. She alternates between pulling the books off the shelf and staring @ everyone while they sing. Then she claps and smiles huge when they are done. Here she is hiding in the little house they have set up in the kids room. Then it was lunch time @ El Vaquero. She discovered ketchup today, enjoying dipping her fries in it and licking it off. She ate really good though. As we left the restaurant she waved and said "bye bye" to a table of people. They all thought that was cute!
The we went to the park for some good old fashioned fun!

Couch Time ~ Day 26
